Hey, I'm kinda new to this type of videography, and not entirely sure in what lens to invest in. I'm currently looking at the EF-M 22mm f/2 STM to use with my 600D (Running magic lantern) - Before buying I would like somebody's opinion. Thanks!

Solution
I would think it doesn't make much difference for this type of photography/videography. You are going to have to use manual focus (so focus does not change from frame to frame). So an STM lens is not needed. You will probably have to use a fairly small aperture (larger f-number) to have a deeper DOF so more costly lenses would not give much benefit because by f/8 most modern lenses are very good.
I'd suggest you do a short test with your kit lens and adjust as needed.

As stated below, basically any lens of the focal length you need will do. Instead, focus on getting a sturdy tripod (proper brand) and maybe a programmable intervalometer if you don't want a computer connected at all times
