Hi, Ive just replaced my broken pioneer AV with an Onkyo TX-NR646 7.1 AVR. I currently have a 5.1 setup with wired speakers. The Onkyo has wifi and blue tooth. I was wondering if it is possible to add 2 wireless speakers into that setup to create a 7.1 system?

Cheers, Jeff

Solution
Not with the receivers built in wifi and bluetooth.
You could connect a speaker to line level converter to the surround speaker output you want to use with the wireless speakers and connect that to a bluetooth transmitter.

You would need to use a stereo pair of bluetooth speakers rather than 2 individual speakers and there would need to be a wire between them. Overall if you can run the wire it will sound better.
