Have been using this laptop for 2+ years , everything was ok , until today .

I was playing some full screen game with YouTube running in the back ground .

All of the sudden my screen just freezes for minutes , and no matter what I do , it won't respond .

So I decided to force shut down the laptop , and after that , there's no display anymore .

But when I power on the laptop , even though it's black screen, but I can hear the Windows sound , the sound heard when u got into the desktop .

Can anyone help me to get my screen back to work ?

Thank you .

Either the screen has died or the video cable that connects the motherboard to the screen has become dislodged. If you remove the clip across the top of the case cover (strip above the keyboard) and then remove the screws to lift off the keyboard, the ribbon cable can be seen that goes up into the display. Remove the cable carefully and then reseat it. Reboot. If the screen no longer works then the screen may be dead. It is more likely that the ribbon cable has come loose. In the meantime, if the screen will not work, you can use a D15 cable to an external monitor, to ensure you can get your precious files off the lappy in the interim.
