Short story: i have a alienware 17 laptop with amd something. I have had problems with my lcd all year, so when it stopped working yesterday I bought a new monitor with amd free sync. I was trying to make it work, so I disabled the Intel graphic card. Hoping the pc would recognize the free sync. Now my hdmi input won't work, and my lcd is completely black so I can't turn Intel back on or format the pc. Please help me

Solution
Hi,

Please do try to unplug the ribbon cable that connects the LCD to the motherboard. Once disconnected try connecting the external monitor again and see if you'll get any display from it or not. If it will not work, try to reset BIOS by removing the CMOS battery inside the laptop. Remove it for a second then put it back in and that should reset BIOS settings.

Hopefully this steps will help.
