getting BIOS on windows ten upgraded Toshiba satellite c55d

i have a toshiba satellite c55d ( i also have a satellite l775d with upgraded windows 10 but have none of these problems) which origianly had 8.1. so i upgraded to 10 hoping it would change things. first of all i cant get the BIOS menu to come up without going the backwards round about away threw settings. 2nd, I JUST WANT TO BOOT A OS FROM CD OR USB...my goal is to get kali and ubuntu on the hard drive and be done with windows. I also want to boot tails from the usb but it wont do that wither. The boot order is changed, but it doesnt even give me the CDROM choice and it just tells me the brand of the USB. I know this is something with money hungry windows . couold someone please please please tell me what to do. Im about 3 hours into this with nothing to show.

Hi,

I would suggest resetting BIOS to default and see if that will work or not. Remove the CMOS battery for a second then put it back in.

Go to your start menu > Settings >Update & Security > Recovery > Advanced Startup > Restart now
