Can I remove SSD casing to fit in M.2 slot?

I have this samsung 850 evo mz75e250 SSD from samsung which I am trying to fit into Asus ROG GL552VW . The laptop's M.2 slot is too short for the SSD with casing. So , should I remove the casing and try to insert the SSD ? Or I am out of options and have to buy a new SSD without casing?

Hi, can you see you don't have the same connector, you need an SSD designed for the M.2 slot.

Your SSD is SATA and will not connect to M.2 port.
You can use your SSD in 2.5" port which is available on your laptop
