The spec has no big different between these two machines, except for CPU and GPU, you should look at gaming features for picking a gaming laptop such as gaming keyboard or sound performance. I recommend that you could look at MSI GL which loaded with mainstream spec and great gaming features equipment, like steelseries keyboard and dynaudio speakers. Here is the link for you. https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=MSI+GL

They both have the same processor and GPU. The Lenovo would game better at native resolution due to its smaller 1080P display but then you can always game at a reduced resolution on the Asus so this just comes down to your personal likes.

You might want to research which brand has better warranty coverage in your area. I'd hate for you to have to spend alot of money sending it in for repair when the other brand might have been local to you.

I'd buy the Asus - more RAM and includes SSD.

I doubt either of those things would make a difference in gaming though. Like everyone else is saying, the CPU and GPU, which are the two main components that influence gaming performance, are the same.

It seems you already know the answer to this question...

And to answer your question about burning DVDs, yes you can burn CDs, DVDs and Blu-Ray.

Seriously, all of the information you are looking for is provided in the two links you gave us.
