I am thoroughly disappointed at myself for having to ask this question, what a noob... I have just bought a lovely new ASUS Vivobook Pro with Windows 10 and I can't see an obvious way to open the CD drawer. Can anyone help please? Thank you!

Hi,

Normally the button to open the DVD drive if it does have one is on the drawer itself that opens. If it doesn't have a button gently push the DVD tray itself and it should act as the button to open it. Lasty, another way to open it would be inside Windows, open Computer then right click on the DVD drive icon and select Eject.

Hopefully this will help. :)

Thank you both. I had already tried all of the solutions suggested, but apparently I only "man looked" for the button: it was on the outside of the drawer the whole time, but the drawer isn't flat and the button for opening it is on the underside of the curvature so it isn't visible from above. Hopefully this information will be useful for anyone silly as myself (if they exist).

*facepalm* (is the way I've written that concurrent with accepted convention? I have been dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century but now I'm here I don't want to keep making myself look a div, or encourage others to do the same).

Kindest thanks. I'm sure you will see lots more daft questions from me in the future, but hopefully less so as time goes on.

Respect.

Peace

Oh yeah, also... I'm not sure if I'm correct here (probably not) but some of the software based suggestions seem to me to not be appropriate for windows 10... is that correct or am I getting confused again?
