hi.. I am randomly getting a blue screen while working along in Windows 7. I had a hard drive error and my system required new battery.. so I got those and installed.. so now Windows fresh install... I have updated ALL drivers to newest from Dell. I BSOD if I try ATI AMD's drivers. I have use Dell diagnostics at start up as well as from Dell's Precision M6600 diagnostic page.. I have run stress tests, extended, anything I could think of.. and everything passes. Uninstalled new drivers and went back to basic then installed drivers again from certified driver sites for our primary software and from Dell for video. My strangest result is.... It DOES NOT CRASH / BLUESCREEN with no error (hard drive stops flashing when it happens and have to power down and restart) if I also connect a monitor or the television via either VGA or HDMI. I just cant think of what else it might be. My event viewer shows nothing except that I had to shut down system improperly.. Any ideas would be appreciated....

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- First, I would suggest checking for any BIOS update and install it.
- Next is to do a clean install of the graphics card driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the AMD driver.
- Next is to open Programs and Features then uninstall any related to AMD.
- Once completely uninstalled, download and install the latest driver.
- Here's the link: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
- Reboot the laptop once the latest driver has been installed.
- After the reboot do test it again and see if the same problem will persist or not.
