I got a weird Issue with my double din car stereo head unit. Please help

Whenever I park my car under hot sun (30-45 degree Celsius) the head unit resets. I checked the wiring and sent the head unit to manufacturer which returned to me with no problem note.

When I park the car whole night and start next morning there is no issue. but when i park in front of my office under the sun and return after 2 3 hours its reset.

Please help.

What is the model? It probably has a thermal protection sensor that is not allowing it to start in order to protect itself. Did you specifically notify the manufacturer that you wanted it checked for a faulty thermal sensor causing a lower than normal thermal reset?

It may just be normal. Many phones, tablets, head units, home stereos, televisions and other modern electronics have these thermal protections that will not allow the device to be operated if they are above or even sometimes below, the specified thermal range determined by the manufacturer.

Perhaps you may want to consider window tinting to decrease the heat inside the vehicle or investing in a reflective shield that sits in the window in whichever direction the sun tends...

Perhaps you may want to consider window tinting to decrease the heat inside the vehicle or investing in a reflective shield that sits in the window in whichever direction the sun tends to be shining. I had similar problems with electronics left in my vehicle, even for an hour or so, until I did both of those things which decreased the internal temperatures by about 30°, dropping it from 125°F or more inside the car after sitting in direct sunlight to about 85-95°F.

When I insert key. The unit turns on automatically with all the color and audio settings gone and the player keeps restarting every 10 to 20 seconds then i have to use a pin to do the hard reset.

I'd take it back to the dealer or service center to check for a newer firmware update or replacement. There is little information available on that unit, but that is not normal behavior no matter what the manufacturer might say. Thermal sensor issues would likely simply not allow the unit to try to start until below the predetermined threshold. I'm not familiar with that model and like I said, there's not much information available on it.

Unfortunately, it's probably regionally limited to your area and there is not going to be as much information or user experiences available as there would be if it was a better known and more widely available brand. AED tells me united arab emirates and this is probably a chinese made product marketed to the middle east only.

Thank you dear. You were right. I contacted another authorized technician who informed me that i have to send it back to them where they will replace the motherboard which can withstand more heat. The high temperature was the villain. Thank you all
