So i have this laptop with this specs:
Core i3 2310M 2.1 GHz
4 GB DDR3
HDD SATA 320 GB
Intel HD 3000 1696 MB Shared memory

The thing is whenever i play most games i get really bad FPS drops for example
Playing Crysis 2 all low the game runs good but suddenly my CPU usage goes up really bad and the FPS drops way too much to be able to play properly and now it got even worse... Playing League of Legends i didn't have that problem before but currently i'm getting the worse FPS drops possible. It goes from 120 to 10 FPS every few seconds... I'm not sure what to do to fix this. Any tips?

Short answer: I don't think that laptop is up to the task of gaming.

Long answer: Let's start with the basics. The CPU scores 2418 on passmark. That's pretty good for anything non-intensive (Like web browsing) with no lag. However, for gaming, a processor like that just isn't up to the task. An entry level mobile i7 scores 4000 on average in passmark. I would say that's the bare minimum if you want a decent experience, though you can get by with 3500. The top end mobile processors score over 9000(no joke intended) on passmark. The top processors that any sane gamer would purchase score 10-11k with no OC whatsoever. As for the GPU, well, the GPU uses integrated graphics (old ones too). Even the lowest end mobile GPUs could beat HD 3000...
Hi,

It seems like that your laptop is not up to the task for gaming. Factors that can affect the FPS are your GPU, CPU and temperature. Please do try to uninstall/reinstall the graphics card driver that may help.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the Intel Graphics driver.
- Next is to open Programs and Features then uninstall anything related to Intel graphics.
- Once completely uninstalled, download and install the latest driver.
- Reboot your laptop once the latest driver has been installed.
- After the reboot do test it again and see if the same problem will persist or not.
