Hi. I really need some help finding a cheap laptop I can buy in Canada for hopefully between $300 to $400. I'd really appreciate some guidance for this.
I have a good desktop that I do all my computer needs with, including OpenOffice. But when I'm out camping or traveling, I need a laptop that can simply work OpenOffice for me. Sure I may use Skype, but OpenOffice is my priority.
The reason why I want a cheap laptop is because...I'm just going to use it for OpenOffice, and when I'm not away, I just use my desktop. The laptop would be almost useless because I wouldn't use it unless I need to, so a cheap and satisfactory laptop is all I need, but I've found out that finding one, especially in Canada, seems really difficult since most laptops are so expensive here.
I saw these two laptops but I'm skeptical about them.

I liked the HP Stream 13 Notebook because its cheap, but I don't know if I should really buy it. It has only 2GB of RAM. I assume most people think that's terrible, but I don't know if that's all I need.
The Asus Transformer Book Flipp TP200SA was the only laptop I could find with my basic needs, but it's expensive with tax, and with the two year warranty, its around more than $530 dollars. Probably more than $600. I'm probably not going to purchase that one now that I think about it.
I would buy a Chromebook, since it would be cheap and it has a great battery life apparently, but it's OpenOffice app apparently is terrible and online only, I'm skeptical about buying one to set up a Linux Operating System on it since I won't be sure if it'll work with OpenOffice unless I buy and try it myself and I only use Windows, and I need a laptop that's doesn't work primarily online with its storage, and Chromebooks have an online storage and barely any offline storage capability. I like to stay offline with OpenOffice too, so a basic harddrive is fine.
If anyone can help me find a decent, cheap, and satisfactory laptop that is basic enough that I can work in OpenOffice, then I'd really appreciate it.
