I have an Xbox 360 and a BluRay player connected to an Onkyo AV receiver, which then goes to a Toshiba 62HMX84 TV. All connections are through HDMI. It used to work great, then one day stopped working. The TV flashes brief images of the Xbox 360. No signal from the BluRay player except brief green or blue boxes. If I connect a different TV (using the same cable), it works. I can also go directly from the Toshiba TV to the Xbox or BluRay player, and that works. What happened to my TV?

Sounds like it maybe a connection problem on the Onkyo AV receiver have you tried blowing compressed air where they connect maybe dust or dirt. Even a good hard blow with your mouth may help try not to get anything wet though.

How to restore your Onkyo AV receiver to factory settings from 605 forwards to 609
Press and hold the vcr key on your receiver then additionally press the standby button ---> clear should light up. This will restore setting as when it was taking out of the box. Ensure you have plenty of space around your receiver to allow for cooling at least 10cm clearence for vents

I blew out the HDMI ports with compressed air and still not working. I did try resetting the Onkyo receiver, but that did not fix it either.

Like I said, I can unplug the HDMI cable from the TV and plug it into another TV and it works. I can also unplug the cable (the one going to the TV) from the receiver and plug it into the Xbox or BluRay player and that also works. It just doesn't work with the receiver in the middle.

When I have the Xbox selected on the receiver, the login screen does flash briefly on the TV at random intervals. I don't know if this helps.

Since the whole setup was working, I am wondering if something happened to the HDMI handshaking on the TV. Does anyone know how to reset the Toshiba 62HMX84 to factory settings?
