How to view Sony DSC-H400 bridge camera feed on external monitor?

I have a Sony DSC-H400 bridge camera on an overhead mount, recording my desk, but I need to be able to see the screen. If I use the cable linked below, with the micro HDMI in the camera and the full HDMI in my laptop, will I be able to see the live feed that the camera is recording, on my laptop screen?

I would expect that the laptop HDMI is output only? I would guess you would need to go to USB somehow to get your laptop to see it in real time.

Looking through the manual and Help file, that camera does not seem to have a Live View function.

You can view already recorded pics, but no Live View.

In addition, your laptop does not have HDMI IN.

My laptop does have HDMI in. Its a HP pavilion G6. When a device is connected via HDMI, you can hold down f4 and choose the input, kinda like a TV. But I didn't realise the camera needed a liveview function. Is there no other way to see my screen externally?

No LiveView.

I have a similar level Fuji, a few years old now. I wish it had LiveView, but alas, it doesn't.
