Just to follow up, My question is if the problem is the panel, or is it a board or components that can be easily replaced?

Typically cheaper to replace the TV. Partly the reason why I went with a projector, so I only have to replace the lamp every 3 years.

TV's should last though. If it's defective, then do contact the manufacturer, or at least ask them to assist you, because we have no information to go on here.
