I was doing my weekly computer scan and nothing was found, just did the usual remove tracing files and restart. On the next boot I noticed it was super super slow. I then noticed that my internet connection, that was perfectly fine pre-boot has shown up unavailable even when using Ethernet. After fidgeting with the cords and trying wifi etc I decided to check my internet settings to see if any proxies and all that have changed. After clicking control panel it displayed blank, I then tried refreshing explorer.exe with no hope. I then decided to try windows+r ncpa.cpl but strangely it didn't load, after trying other commands they all worked flawlessly which was strange. With my computer still super slow I checked my firewall and noticed it had been turned off, not by me. When trying to load antiviruses im getting error codes.

based on all these strange events I'm guessing I've pissed off some virus and have been locked out. This may also mean I've been ratted as just yesterday Google emailed me notifying a failed sign in.

I'm super stuck right now and think I might just have to wipe my computer, any suggestions?

Download these programs from another PC and save them to USB stick:

Malwarebytes, Super Anti-Spyware, TDSS Killer and CCE.

Once you have all the programs boot into safe mode with network connections and run TDSS Killer >> CCE >> Malwarebytes >>Super Anti-Spyware.

These programs should remove most if not all infections.

Once you have removed everything these programs find then you should run Windows Repair Tool in safe mode and this should fix the damage caused by the malware infection.

If you have an upto date AV then it is extremely unlikely you have a virus as they are very good at stopping viruses but you will probably have some other form of malware infection. Either way you need to scan and remove the infections before you can fix the PC.
