Hello not sure if this is the right section for this, so please excuse me if I messed up. As the title says, I am looking to get a laptop in order to run Star Wars the old Republic, and possibly Witcher 3. Note: If the game isn't one of those two, then I will play it on Xbox one, or not at all. The most I can spend is $800 US. I might be able to get my father to help with Tax and shipping, but I'm not holding my breath. I am looking at getting the ASUS N550JX-TH72T. A quick summary of the laptop is:

16GB PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3 (2 x 8GB) Memory, SD/ SDXC/ MMC Media Reader, Weight: 5.7 lbs, Dimensions: 15.1" x 10" x 1.1"
15.6" Touch Screen IPS Full HD Touch Screen (1920 x 1080), Bang & Olufsen Audio, Backlit Keyboard, 1.2MP HD Webcam
Quad-Core i7-4720HQ Processor, 2.6GHz base, 3.6GHz turbo, 6M Cache, Up to 5 hours battery life, Kensington Lock Slot
1TB HDD, Windows 10 Home 64-bit, Optical Drive: DVD Dual Layer Burner, reads and writes CDs and DVDs, Built-in Numeric Keyboard, Integrated Touchpad
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M 2GB DDR3 Dedicated Graphics, Integrated Microphone, 3 USB Ports, RJ-45, HMDI, Mini-DisplayPort, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0

The things I mainly care about is the fact it is a laptop, the amount of Ram, it has a touch screen, it has at least a gtx GPU of 8th or 9th generation, and wireless 802.11ac. If you would like to suggest an alternative, it must have these things minimum. 802.11ac is absolutely required as we are finally getting gigabit internet within the next 18mo, and there is no way I can run a gigabit ethernet cable in my current house. I understand that I won't get the full 1gbps, but I would like at least 300mbps over that wireless connection. I know how to setup this network, and I will make sure all devices support this technology. I don't expect to run my games on super high settings, but it would be nice to get 30 fps or higher.

So if there is anybody out there who has this laptop and is enjoying excellent frame rates while playing those two games, please let me know, or suggest a better alternative. Sites such as ebay are 100% out of the question as I just don't trust them.

I am pretty sure this will be suitable for SWTOR, so if it doesn't work very well for witcher 3, I guess i can bite the bullet and buy it for xbox one. Then this laptop just needs to be able to run SWTOR on at least medium, will probably avoid PVP, but would be nice to do 16m Raiding with it. Sadly due to the portability requirement I have right now, a Desktop is 100% out of the question. It has to be portable enough that I can put it in my backpack and take it with me. Not even the Alienware Alpha would be portable enough.

Sorry for the long post any help is appreciated.

Update:

Maybe I wasn't very clear on what I am looking for, so I will clarify here that I would be using a 720P display for this, and I have no problem using the very low setting for witcher 3 provided that there is no noticeable visual difference between that and the console version. Ideally, I would like information from a person who has first hand experience with at least the GPU and game, if not the exact laptop and game. Sorry, but game x requires gpu y at minimum answers although greatly appreciated, aren't really help full to me.

Once again thank you for any help that can be provided.

Hello, as we all know, minimum requirements can be unreliable. IE, if I google witcher 3 gtx 950m it shows a YouTube video that leads you to believe it would work. Also, I did not mention that I would NOT be using full 1080p, but only 720P and that I would have no problem using lowest settings providing that there is no noticeable visual difference from the console version.

Fair enough.
