Greethings,

i would like to share my software problem that i have since i bought this Laptop, and im kinda confused because i cant believe that i can't play ANY game on this PC, i guess AMD R5 M230 is kinda decent graphic card and can support World of Warcraft (WOTLK), and game simular to this one, so basicly, problem is that when i have both Intel and AMD drivers installed, games are running tru Intel ONLY, there is not even option for SWITCHING graphic card and choosing AMD one, even tho i watched like 15 videos on youtube and did exactly like they did (choosing High Performances) and things like that, NOTHING happends, when i click on the game, it looks like it gonna run, than it goes black screen, and usually BSOD or just freeze completly,i remember when i was playing Elder Scroll : Skyrim, in option before launching game, you can select graphic card that you would like to start game with, and i remember that i had only INTEL to choose, AMD wasnt even on list, so now im watcing a lot of forums and usually they say to visit Lenovo site and find Original drivers because they dont release "beta drivers" so now im watching and im REALLY wondering, is it possible that they release last driver 3 years ago (7/9/2013 ?!?!?) , if anyone had simular problem please reply me, im about to break this laptop and buy new one which is probably going to happend if he freezes one more time.

Pc specifications:

--Intel Core i5 4200M @ 2.40GHz

--RAM: 4,00GB DDR3

--Intel HD Graphics 4600 (Lenovo)

--2048MB ATI AMD Radeon R5 M230 Series (Lenovo)

Thank you very much.

Solution
I recommend using the drivers provided by lenovo even if its outdated.
The driver provided by lenovo is customized only for that particular machine and has specific features made by the manufacturer.
Also check in the BIOS to see if the switchable graphic is selected.
In device manager does the R5 M230 listed along with Intel HD Graphics?
Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- First is to do a clean install of the graphics card driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the AMD graphics driver.
- Next is to uninstall anything related to AMD from Programs and Features.
- Once done, download and install the latest driver.
- Here's the link: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
- Reboot the laptop once the latest driver has been installed.
- Do test it again after the reboot and see if the same problem will persist or not.
