Hi Guys, apologies if this is in the wrong section.

Where i work, i test laptop that are sold to us, one of said laptops developed a fault and i can't get it to post, it just sits at the Acer Logo.

The battery is built in so it is somewhat hard to troubleshoot from a hardware section as i don't get the time or space to disassemble.

Are there any software routes that anyone knows of to see if i can avoid sending the laptop of for RMA?

the Alt +F10 route just provides a black screen with no progress, and of course i cannot windows recovery as it does not reach the boot priority.

Solution
If your job is to test, but without the resources (space and time) to work on the hardware...it would be quite difficult to find out what the issue is.
Not everything is discoverable by 'software'.

Especially if the thing doesn't POST in the first place.

If new send it back now, if it has problems from manufacturer, god knows what will happen a couple of months down the line when a user gets their hands on it and then you will have a fight with Acer for repair !

Yeah I was hoping I was missing something simple, its a pain as I am pretty sure a CMOS reset would help me work out what hardware is at fault
