Just replaced a defective MSI MB which is no longer manufactured with an Asus 970 Pro Gaming/Aura MB. No sound from Videos, Games, etc. Speakers and one head set work properly (left to right) when being tested. One headset tests in the opposite direction although the picture shows the sound to be moving correctly in the ear pieces from left to right. Can't figure that out because both sets always worked correctly with the previous MB.

Disclaimer: I am not an expert in this. I have a competent person who installed the new board and all is well except for this audio problem. He is tied up right now so I thought I might be able to get some help without having to wait for him to become available. I hope that's ok.

Many thanks for your kind response to my comment. It was certainly a good choice but as it turned out, it was a different issue. The good news is that I was finally able to make contact with the person who did the installation for me and through the use of Team Viewer he discovered that the Digital option instead of Speaker option was selected in the audio setup thereby causing the problem.

The good news is that I was finally able to make contact with the person who did the installation for me and through the use of Team Viewer he discovered that the Digital option instead of Speaker option was selected in the audio setup thereby causing the problem.
