I have a Acer Aspire v3-571G laptop with Intel Core i7 3630qm, Nvidia GeForce GT 640M, and 8GB RAM. As what the title says, my laptop won't detect my gpu in device manager it only detects the Intel HD Graphics 4000 even when I enable the "show hidden devices" option. When I try to update the driver it says "This driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." I also tried to reset the BIOS, as well as upgrading it but still get nothing. Is there anything that I could do?

Hi,

Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Start by going into Nvidia Support site and see if it will detect the graphics card.
- Here's the link: nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
- If it will not be detected or will not install, do reinstall Windows and see if the same problem will persist or not.
- If reinstalling Windows will still not work, do contact ACER for a repair.
