I went to unscrew the back and noticed that a screw was missing where the ram is located so I popped it open and noticed there are two ram cards (I am not tech savvy so please bare with me) and they say Samsung on them. Is that normal? And could that be why only a could letter keys on either side of my keyboard are no longer working? I left my laptop around someone who was working on their notebook at my house and the next time I remember using my laptop was when the issue began.

Alot of ram is made using samsung chips, from different makers, so that is normal, does seem sus though it now does not operate right after that, did they work on the same/similar model laptop? Keyboards on those are fairly cheap though to replace. Find a video of someone changing one on that laptop and be careful, you can change it

No, it was an HP I believe all I remember is it was silver... is there a away to clean the keyboard or troubleshoot it at all? I use my laptop for school and I am not working so even though the keyboards might be cheap its more then I can afford right now. Any suggestions??

You could check it's connection is firm, They cost only 20-30 AU dollars
You could use an external plug in keyboard till this is done
TBH i cannot think of another reason why a few keys won't work
