My mouse pad on my acer laptop just quit working out of the blue. I would like to know how to test it to see if it needs to be replaced or if it accidentally became disabled.

Hi,

Please do try to uninstall/reinstall the Touchpad driver.
- First is to uninstall the Touchpad driver from Device Manager.
- Once done, download and install the latest driver from ACER's support site.
- Here's the link where you can download it from:
ALPS: http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Driver/TouchPad/TouchPad_ALPS_7.x2.2002.208_W7x64W7x86_A.zip?acerid=633917156129761443&Step1=NOTEBOOK&Step2=ASPIRE&Step3=ASPIRE%205732Z&OS=ALL&LC=en&BC=ACER&SC=PA_6

Synaptics: http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Driver/TouchPad/TouchPad_Synaptics_13.2.2.0_W7x86W7x64_A.zip?acerid=633917205086579178&Step1=NOTEBOOK&Step2=ASPIRE&Step3=ASPIRE%205732Z&OS=ALL&LC=en&BC=ACER&SC=PA_6
- Reboot the laptop once the latest driver has been installed.
- If the Touchpad will still not work, do try connecting an external USB mouse and see if the same problem will persist or not.
