I'll try to be as thorough as possible to prevent all the unnecessary questions. I have a Sager NP9377, just under 2 years old now. No prior issues to this.

I was playing the new Dark Souls 3, about 40 hours in at the point, and the laptop restarted itself. When it turned back on I got a System Service Exception error, which I've never had before. I restarted it manually after the error and it booted up fine. I went back to playing my game and after 5 minutes it turned itself off again, this time without shutting down, it just went straight to black. I tried turning it back on with no luck, hasn't turned on since.

I don't think it was a thermal shutdown, as I had reapplied thermal paste 2 months ago without any temperature issues. I always keep it spotless of dust as well.

The laptop no longer turns on, however it does seem to be receiving power. There are 2 LED's in the front that light up when I connect the charger to the laptop, 1 to indicate the charger being connected, and 1 to indicate the battery having power/being charged. There is also an LED on the AC charger adapter that lights up when plugged into a wall outlet. This stays on when I plug it into my computer. Once I hit the power button, all 3 lights mentioned immediately turn off. I have to unplug the charger from the wall and reconnect it for the LED to turn on again. This reoccurs every time without the laptop turning on.

I have checked the charger with a multimeter for voltage output and it reads 19.5V as it should. I have tried taking out the battery, draining the power from the laptop, and putting it back in, which did not work. Also tested turning it on without the battery and only the charger connected, no luck. I've looked inside the computer to see that everything is in the correct spot and fully connected.

Please give me any additional info or ideas on what could be wrong. This is a very expensive laptop and would hate for it to die out so soon. Thank you for the help!

From the looks sounds like a thermal problems to me. Perhaps let it cool down and retry at it again in a while.

It hasn't turned on in a week, so that isn't the issue
