You mean DDR3 for the 940m as a ddr5 version isnt made unless you count the 940MX, Its a good machine I have the same laptop with 8gb of ram basically. It will handle games on low to medium and witcher is out of the question you will play no high end games of any type at all on it.

so it wont be able to play witcher on low ? the discription says gt940mx ddr3/gddr5 i dont know what that means but ill install witcher and try it
i think i can play it cause my younger brother played that on his old rig with gt 730 and some oc he played with 28fps with 1366x768 resolution

maybe on lowest in about 720p, but thats a maybe. The witcher is very system heavy.

I play civ 4,civ5,rise of nations,age of empires 2 hd,fishing planet,and i have managed to get world of tanks to run with the old textures.

Its not going to run anything at high fps, but i bought it because i needed a new daily driver laptop, it had the specs i wanted and the price i wanted to pay. The only downside is not having a ram door or something like that, i have to take the entire back panel off and then i can replace the harddrive, ram and battery.

You will have massive heat issues because the CPU and GPU are on one heat pipe and sink, meaning that you will generate more heat than the laptop can handle.

Also I saw those vids, but i dont consider that playable

Yes, if you overheat and cook the laptop that voids warranty, a cooling pad will help but make sure you get a good one.

This is not a gaming laptop its not intended to play games, the acer model for games is the NItro Series, which starts at $740.

Nope, all modern laptops will kill charging when its at 100% and just use the power coming through the cable from the wall. Its perfectly safe, what does effect batttery life is the wear and tear of charging. Eventually after about 300-600 charge cycles the battery will have 75% of the capacity it was designed to hold.
