I am looking to buy a laptop with a good graphics card and an i7. After looking around at many laptops around $1000, I found this-
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152947&cm_re=msi_apache-_-34-152-947-_-Product

then looking for a cheaper version or one with a bit lower specs, I found this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152903R&cm_re=msi_laptop-_-34-152-903R-_-Product

I wanted to know if there is any common knowledge of issues with open box products and if the difference between these two laptops would be truly noticable for me. I dont know if there is any major difference between 5th to 6th gen i7's , and have never heard of an open box laptop and need to know if this would be a safe option for me. I wanted something under $1000 and I had a great experience with my 6 year old msi laptop, just wanted help finding one for the right price.

If your budget is $1000, that's plenty, believe it or not.

With this, I can only go off of what I have experienced and know to be good. With that, make sure your laptop has an i5 or i7 and minimum of 8Gb worth of RAM. For graphics, the GTX models do very well, as do other GeForce family cards.

As far as brands, MSi is good, but Alienware and high model Toshiba Satellite's are better.

I would like to use this laptop for gaming and I am asking for help in form of either recommendations of different laptops or suggestions of how to buy something like what I linked at as low of a price as possible w/o changing the specs very much. I know its not realistic to see a big price change but every dollar helps.
