I have had problems with the keyboard. For example, I click 'g', it will appear as 'g4'.

It was quite a while. I didn't use my laptop for two weeks then after that two weeks, I opened again, hoping the keyboard was okay, it went fine.

But then a few months later it happened again. This time for a long time. Almost a year. Maybe more I can't recall. But now it's okay again.

I didn't do anything at all to the system. Changing the keyboard would cost so much, because everything else with my laptop is doing so well. And I wouldn't even buy a new laptop just for this problem. I could always use the on-screen keyboard tho. Thankfully it's a touch screen laptop.

Anyhow, I hope the keyboard remains functional for so long.

Just curious if anyone else is experiencing this kind of situation.

Cheers,
Erin

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- First is to uninstall/reinstall the keyboard driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the keyboard driver then reboot the laptop.
- After the reboot do test it again and see if it will work or not.
- And lastly, try connecting an external USB keyboard and see if everything will work normal using it.
- If it will work just fine that problem is that specific key only, try to dust off that key and see if it will work or not.
- Replacing the whole keyboard would be the only solution if all these will not work.
- Before considering on replacing the keyboard, do check the ribbon cable that connects the keyboard to the motherboard first if its loose or not. Try to disconnect the cable then reconnect it.

I have tried external keyboard before and everything's okay using external keyboard.
But I will try other solutions you have mentioned.

Thanks!

Hi, if I uninstall the keyboard driver, where can I install it again? Any software?
