I have a samsung 44" tv I think here is the model code serial number and version.
Model code: LE40C580J1JXXU
Serial number: Z7C53SPZB00263H
Version: SQ01
The tv come on with the backing light and sound to alert me that the tv is on but no image shows up and I can't control it with my remote. What do I do? Is my tv fixable?

I currently am having a similar issue but the TV doesn't power on correctly. For example, the backlights don't turn on or the screen is black. And the remote commands don't work.
After testing everything I noticed that a TV receiver I had connected via HDMI must have been sending a signal the TV didn't like and it made the TV to short out and not turn on correctly.
Try disconnecting everything from the TV and turn it on without anything connected and see if it works properly. Then one by one connect other components (Cable box, DVD player. etc....) and see if the TV works properly. See if the TV acts up with a certain device connected.

I still haven't figured out why my TV is doing this with a certain component connected, but I'm thinking it is something with the main board of the TV and the low quality of Samsung TV's.

Let me know if any of the above works
