I think I may have virus

I was watching youtube and all of sudden a pop up pops up and it said something about embedded double click . net and I had option to x or yes or no. I clicked x and went out of it.
Can you please recommend me a software that deals with all the virus malware etc.
I have some 3d art works that I am working on in my computer. If my computer have virus on it right now, and I copy and paste my 3d art work to my usb , and nuke my computer and reinstall it, and then use my usb to install my 3d work again. Will I get infected by virus again?

Usually "nuking the computer and reinstallin" isn't necessary. Most malware can be removed by using a combination of Avast Antivirus free and MalwareBytes Anti Malware free, in my experience.

I would back up your data anyway just in case removal of viruses/malware may start a seeding program that deletes system files. I got hit by one of those once, the removal of a virus triggered a dormant program within my appdata folder that destroyed Windows 10 to the point where I had to format and start over, but that's probably a rare case and is the reason why I stopped letting my brother use my computer to download from Torrents.
