Sorry if this is redundant, however, all the forums i saw were for the Apache GE62 vs the ASUS ROG GL551 not GL552VW. I have read some bad things about both laptops, but seem to be leaning toward the MSI only because it seems LESS plasticky. I basically moderately game (FFXIV and similar titles). I want to be able to do usual multitasking for work and office productivity. Weight is an issue for me as well as dependability. I have read issues with both of these concerning BIOS and bloatware. I am considering using Xotic only because I can get the M.2 SSD for 10 bucks vs 200 on amazon or newegg.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks ... I was worried about that.... here's a link for the Apache pro...Basically I read really bad stuff about the build quality of asus (Cheap feeling, poor trackpad positioning... lighting bleeding through) wanted to see if anyone here had bad experiences with either recent model or purchase... I think ASUS quality used to be pretty good but i'm concerned it may be slipping and wanted to make sure it was worth the money ... if you guys think it's a better choice than the MSI that's what i'll do :)

I am not sure for the build quality of asus rog machines as well, but I think they all have good quality with the reasonable price. Their processing speed is just in the same level, however, If I were you I will take MSI GE62 because of its SteelSeries keyboard and sound performance(Nahicmic sound enhancer and Dynaudio speaker).
