Still looking for the right laptop [help]

I'm sure you get hundreds of these each day, but I'm looking for a nice laptop, one that's capable of running vmware (so preferbly 8gb ram) effectively, intel is also preferred. Besides Vmware, I would use it to watch videos, browse, and configure servers.

My budget is around £250, I'm perfectly okay with refurbished stuff, as overall I'm sure it's not in as good a condition but it's most likely got better specifications.

Can I also just quickly ask that I do not MIND if it comes with an OS, I have plenty of windows discs laying around and a ton of linux iso files downloaded.

Hey tothergnome, I can't reply to you for whatever reason but I read the reviews and I'm honestly surprised a laptop with amd doesn't have peoole moaning! definitely going to look at this one a bit more, it seems good.

Excellent, I can reply to you now.

As I said in my previous comment its rare I see an amd laptop where people aren't complaining about it freezing, infact they seem super happy with it.

I found one on ebay for £230 which is just in my budget, fantastic!
however even though I'm probably going to go with this one I was just wondering if you had any links to any benchmark tests? youtube results throw up different model benchmarks.

Damn, the Lenovo IdeaPad Z580 has a great design and specs :I

Not a huge fan of the design overall on the T440p however its only 3 years old so I'll keep it on the list.

If you want to benchmark, type 3dmark and see the results. Also, the PC I listed had a score of 647. Also I don't know why so many people hate on AMD. I have a Intel Core I5 6600k but I don't see why people hate on AMD.

Yeah I'm not sure either, it's pretty great for the price.

You can't complain about it

That being said how good is a score of 647, like I said I don't plan on doing much gaming but it's nice to know.
