tv projector connection

Hello,

im looking to connect a tv projector to a blu ray player, an antenna and a soundbar with the least amount of wires. we are considering a basement finish and would like to use as little wires as possible and or keep the price down also. any help or advise would be great.

A "digital converter box: will not give you an HD picture since they are designed to replace the NTSC analog tuners in older SD TVs. You will need an ATSC HD tuner that will connect to the antenna. Some of these are also PVRs which is very handy. It will have HDMI out.

Depending on where you plan to place your projector, screen and sources you have two options.
It might be easier to use an HDMI input selector with audio extraction like this one.

where you sources are located. Your sources would connect to the switcher with HDMI. The switcher would connect to the projector with a long HDMI and to the soundbar with an optical audio cable,
Or you could get a soundbar with at least 2 HDMI inputs so you can connect the tuner and BD player too it. The sound bar HDMI out would connect to the projector.
