I have played it on a desktop with a intel core i5 6600k 16gb ddr4 ram and a gtx 970 and it gave me issues, to put it into perspective the gtx 970m is about 65% as powerful as the desktop version. I had issues on the desktop so its natural to have them on the laptop. Its just a game thats poorly optimized your fine for the rest of the games. Another game that will be completely unplayable on a laptop is Life Is Feudal Your Own.

The 940m is a DDR3 graphics card it is going to be the worst mobile performer of the 900 series in games, i would try and up your budget to at least a 960m to stay relevant and be able to play more games.

Well, heres a video of fps test for someone running it on the GTX960m so I'm sure the GTX965m should be able to run it but I wouldn't expect amazing results on higher settings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDmXNg6bU2M&nohtml5=False It wouldn't have a problem running CS:GO over 60fps though :) Heres a link of the GTX960m + i5 running CS:GO https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQim4805Gx4&nohtml5=False well over 60fps dude
