What are the best bass over ear headphones under $300? Id prefer it to be from a major brand like sennheiser.

No such thing in audiophile land. Anyways, I recommend Skullcandy Crushers, and Sony XB950BT. Those are the best bass headphones out right now, Crushers I believe have the most bass overall because it doesn't boost the bass, it has a driver specifically ment to shake the earcups. I think they are fantastic when watching movies, and listening to music. If you go with sennheisers, then you'll be giving up so much bass, unless that's what you're after.

From my perspective, I would suggest the SteelSeries Siberia 650 headphones. They are $269 AUD and include a 5 band graphic equalizer as part of their software drivers. The bass response is good by default and the 50mm drivers can deliver more when the equalizer settings are adjusted.

The ambient lighting can also be set to any color, but that is just for show (yes, they light up).

The SteelSeries unit is a headset, so it includes a microphone.

depends on what you mean by "best bass".

are we talking "bassy" headphones with more than average bass levels and capable of hitting sub bass but without distorting everything else or are we talking the ludicrous levels of bass found on "bass cannons" which put bass first before all else and normally have distorted sound because of it?
