How do I transfer an actual program to a usb drive

Have a program on an old laptop, but I no longer have the disc. Can I transfer the actual program from one computer to another using a USB drive, or by other means? The program, form tool, is an old IMSI program, but they no longer have that program in their inventory. I have forms I built using this platform, but can't run them without the platform. Just wondering.

you mean by copying the installation folder?

depending on the program that may or may not work very well. you can't get an installer online anywhere?

what program is it, maybe we can help locate some set-up files. even old stuff is still possible to find, people archive all kinds of odd stuff

Well, I did edit my post to reveal the program as "Form Tool". I contacted the producer, IMSI, who informed me that it was no longer in their inventory. They had sent it to me free from their archives last time I asked, and I downloaded it to my current computer from their gracious response. So I had it on this computer, but since the OS got corrupted from a microsoft update download causing an operating system failure, and had to replace the windows 7 OS. Now I don't have that program to reload, unless I can get it again from my old computer.

i see multiple versions of this. what version are you looking for? i notice a free, pro and couple other types. plus various version numbers. amazon has a 4.0 version of form tool express for sale http

i'm pretty good at this (i like some older stuff as well and seek it out at times) and may be able to track down an installer if you can give me the version you need

slow rainy day for me so i got time to do some looking around

if you downloaded it to your hard drive & not delete it then is still on the hard drive even after installation.

It was form tool deluxe, per the properties on the old computer.
