I'm basically looking for some converter boxes that would allow me to transmit a coax signal that comes into my basement, to 3 different locations via a wireless link to other cable boxes. Basically have a box in the basement that transmits to boxes in the three other locations that I would plug a coax cable into, then into the cable box. Anyone know if any such device exists?

Actiontec makes some wireless transmitters for TV signals. However the signal transmission distance is somewhat dependent on the environment. The newest actiontecs are 1:1 meaning 1 transmitter to 1 receiver the older ones work 1:many (1 transmitter to many recievers. The limitation to this is that they send 1 channel only so whatever your tuner in the basement is set to, that is what every tuner would recieve.
If you are looking to adapt coax for rj45 connections, google MOCA. An adapter won't work for this but there are converters which do.
However, if you have internet in the basement and all you want to do is move it to another floor, network over power adapters are more reliable and faster.

Its for cable tv, not internet. Basically want to take the signal coming in on the coax and broadcast it to 3 other locations, then plug that receiver into a cable tv box at those locations so each cable tv box can change and view different channels just like they would if plugged directly into coax.

You are wanting to broadcast many cable channels. No can do. If they could your cable company wouldn't run coax cable all over your house.
It is possible to send the HDMI output of your cable boxes wirelessly to each TV so you could locate the three cable boxes in the basement. Not sure how you would do three unless you had three different transmitter/receivers or a way to set each transmitter to pair with a particular receiver. There are HDMI over IP solutions too. Expensive though.
