Hi, the original hard disk of my sony vaio vpceb1a4e has failed.
I bought a WD blue 1TB, but when I try to install win 7 home premium x64 I get this error

(I found the image online but the error is that one)

Searching online I tried MBR and GPT partitions 'style' both..nothing works.

Welcome to the community, alfredopacino1!

I think that you should check your BIOS settings and try swapping between the SATA modes from IDE to AHCI and vice versa. If that doesn't help, try resetting BIOS through the BIOS interface. It will get all your settings back to factory defaults and it might also help you recognize the WD Blue properly.
I'd also check the connections to the drive again and make sure everything is mounted properly.

Keep me posted.

i will check but the bios allows very poor settings, I don't think there is a setting with IDE or AHCI.
besides, the hard disk is recognized correctly by the bios and the win7 installer

well I solved indeed resetting the BIOS. As I said this bios have nothing looks like a proper configuration of anything, but I read "f3 to restore the default setting".
It worked.
