I have a HP pavilion v054TX and I havent touched it for a month or so. It was working fine before hand but when I tried starting it up windows crashed many times and thenthe bios and back up recovery for the bios went corrupt (I could tell from the error codes)

I tried making a recovery bios flash drive but it wont work and now im currently stuck with a laptop that wont even boot into the bios and is giving the bios memory corrupt error code when ever I try turning it on.

Any ideas on how to get around this before I try spending miney and sending it off to HP

Thanks in advancd

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Start by doing a hard reboot, remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then try loading it again in BIOS.
- If these will not work proceed with reseating the RAM's, remove them all for couple of seconds then put them back in making sure everything is seated properly.
- Next is to reset BIOS by removing the CMOS battery for a seconds then put it back in.
- If all these will not work then the problem is the motherboard already.
