I have a Dell e5520 laptop that will not get power from AC. However, it will power on and boot to windows with the battery in. When the battery is removed and the adapter is plugged in, it will come on for 1 sec and power back off. I have not found an indicator light that shows if it is plugged in or not. Battery LED does not light up at all.
