Recently, a random person wanted to use my phone to call a friend to find out their address. I let her use my phone and the phone log says:

she first called a number for 3 seconds then hung up.
Then she called "00+" for 1 minute.
Then she texted "00+" and said "@a"
Then it says that she called the 1st number she entered before she txt for 5 mins.

She did this when I was writing down the address for her. After I called the cab for her, she insisted to stay on the phone with her "friend" until the cab came. I rejected this and grabbed my phone because she was really sketchy. When I realized she texted, I immediately removed my sim and turned off my phone.

I searched "00+" in google and
came upon: http://www.blossomsny.com/fonts/monitoring-app/text-watcher-message-spy-review.html
I was wondering if anyone could provide me with information on this. Is my phone infected by some type or malware or something?

i would reset the phone to stock and be sure everything is wiped out. no idea what she did but i'd not take any chances. a full reset and even a rom flash is what i would do to the phone to be rid of whatever was done to it.

Before I factory reset my phone, do you think its okay to backup my music/pictures to my computer? is there any software you recommend to use to scan these files?

that should be ok as malware and such normally sticks to other places. data is usually ok but once you get the phone reset, run a scan on the data on the sd card just to be sure. there are plenty of av/malware scans for android out there.

you can run an av scan on the data while it is on the pc just to be doubly sure but i don't think many pc scans are designed to detect phone virus/malware. but it can't hurt.

do you think I should change my sim card or does that matter?

the sim should be fine. that is just the carriers info and i don't think anything can get to it. but you could swap it out just to be safe. a new one is only $10 or so i believe or your carrier might even swap it for free to just be nice. never know until you ask.
