Hello friends

I am looking to buy a new laptop. I've researched and I came to the conclusion that I don't know which company to use. Until now, I only had LENOVO, but it seems that ASUS and MSI are doing better job for what I need.

My configuration should look like this:

- i7 -6700HQ
- 16 gb ( DDR4 ) or better;
- SSD min. 128GB;
- GTX 965 - 970 - or better;
- efficient cooling system;
- 17.3" Full HD (1920 x 1080) - or better;

My budget is about 1500 $.

I would really appreciate any help/advice.

Thanks

Hello, I am no expert but have bought Asus and returned it due to its cheap built quality. With Lenovo, i found its display quite ordinary. IPS display on acer and asus is pretty good. At the moment I have an acer aspire V 15 nitro black edition and it is really powerful and the built quality is 50 times better than Asus. (16gb Ram 256 ssd, 1TB HD) I travel quite often and hence built quality was very important for me. My only problem with Acer is is the wifi, I have not figured it out yet why the wifi keeps dropping when I am sitting away from the router ( another room).

I could be wrong, but I think Asus ROG series is good if you are willing to shell out more than 1600 euros ( not familiar with the dollar market). But yes Asus...

But yes Asus and lenovo look sleek :) Initially I was planning to buy MSI but found the display not so good and some people told me MSI cooling is not so good. But if you are willing to pay more than 1700, they all seem to be good. Please note that some acer models do not have DVD burner unlike ASUS and Lenovo. My machine doesn´t have a dvd burner. Basically I would suggest, you should strike Lenovo off your list and do some more reading on Asus, Acer and MSI.

Definitely not Lenovo . Been using Lenovo Y50 for almost an year now and its constantly giving me troubles with constant disconnects from wifi due to faulty network adaptor . The HDD was dying within the first month so had to replace it with Seagate . Now , the screen is giving me problems giving green hue all over the display . I will never buy laptops from Lenovo !
