Laptop will turn on briefly sometimes (start to boot up with screen on) and then stop (power light goes off (total time on about 15-20 seconds). Other times the Power light, WiFi light & Caps Lock light will will come on and the screen is black (not on at all - no increase in the black level) and nothing happens other than the light above lights stay on. Other times the lights will go out automatically after a few seconds. As suggested by others, I took out the battery held down the power on button for a minute, then plugged the power supply into the laptop and there was no change. I removed the Samsung SSD and am able to access the files through another computer. The battery seems to be charged because the laptop lights will stay lit on the times the laptop does not turn off after a few seconds. Any troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated. Jack

Hi,

Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Start by doing a hard reboot again, remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then try booting it up again.
- If it will not boot up, remove the battery again and boot the laptop with just the AC adapter connected.
- Try a different AC adapter that has the same voltage and see it will boot up or not.
- If it will still not work proceed with reseating the RAM's, remove them all for couple of seconds then put them back in making sure everything is seated properly.
- If you can hear the laptop on but there's no display on the screen, connect an external monitor and see if you'll get any display from it or not.
- If all these will not work then the problem is the motherboard.
