So my laptop was working fine about 4 days ago. I woke up the next day to check out some emails and it would not connect. My router was showing up but every time I put in the password it said you can't connect to networ . I've had 5 techs from Microsoft look at it and 1 of them said the internet is working fine and that there's something wrong with my laptop. I've done everything I came across on the internet nothing worked and I hope someone on here can help me.

One other option you might try. Turn off your laptop Wifi, unplug your modem/wifi and leave it 15 seconds, plug it back in and let it cycle thru reconnecting to the internet. Once it establishes a connection, turn on your wifi on the laptop and see if you can connect. (It's entirely possible that if you are using satellite or ADSL modem, that the hard reset will clear the issue).
Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help in solving the issue.
- Start by uninstalling/reinstalling the Wifi Adapter.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the Wifi adapter.
- Once uninstalled, reboot your laptop and it should reinstall the driver automatically.
- After the reboot do try connecting to your wireless network again.
- If this will not work, do run System Restore, bring it back 4 days ago when everything was working properly.
- Here's how run System Restore: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-PH/windows-8/restore-refresh-reset-pc
- If System Restore will not work do also try disabling or uninstalling the Antivirus completely and see if this will solve the problem.
- Last option would be to reinstall Windows but I would suggest contacting your ISP first to make sure you have the right password for your wireless network or maybe they can reset it.

Not this exact scenario, but I've bought $10 wifi USB sticks to solve similar problems. Since the lap top is nearly worthless without wifi, tossing $10 at a work around in my mind is well worth it. Then you'll get a new driver etc.

Good luck. I just HATE windows / HW fritzes.
