How to replace the CMOS battery in a Samsung QX411?

Solution

sometimes theres a couple of hidden screws--in the battery compartment--though wont be if that has a sealed battery

or under the rubber pads on the bottom--which is a bit stupid as you will have to glue them on again

or under some labels on the bottom usually can check that by running your finger over the labels and seeing if it leaves a circular depression

edit -- and...

Thanks mcnumpty23, unfortunately in this case the CMOS battery is not under that cover, just the HDD and memory. This is a model of Samsung that has a sealed main battery and I think the difficulty in removing the case cover is related to that. I have removed every screw that I see, and the ODD, but at this point, the bottom cover is not even becoming loose.

edit -- and have had a couple where you had to take the keyboard out then under that were screws that went right through to hold the base part
