My Toshiba Satellite Laptop has been running at dangerously high temps lately when gaming on it (up to 95c) making the CPU de-clock heavily, halving it's real performance making gaming on it a nightmare with low fps on very easy to run games.
I have also seen many cooling system warning pop ups on it and have learned that Toshiba Laptops are very prone to cooling related problems, is this true?

~Specs:

Intel i7 3630QM quad core
12 GB RAM DDR3
1TB Hardrive

Toshiba Satellite S55-A5295. Any help is appreciated! thanks.

Hi,

Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help.
- First is to open your laptop and clean the inside of it. Remove all the dust off the cooling fans and apply fresh thermal paste on the CPU.
- Once done with the cleaning do observe it again and see if the same problem will happen or not.
- If it does, I would suggest getting a cooling pad that should help in cooling down your laptop.

Here's a sample of a good cooling pad:

Hi there!

Thank you so much for the reply, I had already taken apart the Laptop a few weeks ago to see what may be causing the problems but saw that there was no dust in the fan and no dust in any other part of the machine.
I will definitely look into thermal paste and a cooling pad for it.

Thanks again!
