I have a old Medion PC that was torn apart and not touched for years. Put a new hdd in and replaced ram and it works fine, all drivers installed, but I don't know what software came on the machine. Reason is the machine has a analogue Yellow video and red and white audio input plugs. I want to record a old Cassette camera straight to my pc using these plugs but I can't find a program that has the ability to record from them. I know I somehow did it years ago but can't remember the program. If someone knows of a program that can do this or the software that came with this PC/similar PCs then please let me know. Thanks

Pic of the plugs to avoid confusion.

[OS = Windows XP]

Solution
Windows XP has "Windows Movie Maker", which can capture video from a tuner. Make sure you have drivers for that tuner installed.

I would, however, invest twenty bucks in a device and software you can on a modern PC. The time you'll save will more than cover for the expenses.

Ok i'll have a look if I can get it working, otherwise we can just get a converter. Thanks.

Power director is the program that came with this pc. The tv tuner in the pc is the device that captures the video. And the built in audio captures the sound. If you have removed the tv tuner, it will not work.
