I use a JBL Xtreme Bluetooth speaker to listen to my music in my house. I really like its sound quality and also want to use it as my tv speaker. I have a Samsung JU7500 smart tv. It has bluetooth connection and it connects to my JBL however when it connects, it registers my speaker as bluetooth headphones and doesnt let me change the volume on my tv via remote. Does anybody have had a similar problem and know how to solve it?

Solution
If your TV has audio-out connector (RCA or 3.5mm), and this output' volume is affected by TV' volume control, a Bluetooth transmitter paired to your speakers will solve the problem.

Yes, clunky, complain to Samsung about that.

I have a SAMSUNG 4K MODEL UN65NU8000 TV. To control the volume on your AIRPODS do the following:
GO TO:
1) Settings/Expert
2) General Expert Settings
3) Accessibility
4) Multi-Output Audio: Set to OFF
5) EXIT
Now your volume will be controlled by the remote Control for your EarPods.
