We have a Network connection issue on our newly purchased Samsung fv. We returned a Vizio tv because we couldn't get a connection to Net Flix. After working with a tech he said to return the tv. We thought we'd try a Samsung since they are a better tv. We are having the same issue! We choose our network, it says we are connected and then says we have a "Network Connection issue". We tried changing the DNS# as suggested in previous posts and have gone back to original settings but nothing seems to work. We have a cable box from Comcast. Does anyone have any suggestions that might help? Thank you!

Is ILLOGICAL!

I assume you got other devices at home that work just fine getting to the 'NET? (I need a yes/no).

Your TV is just ANOTHER device, why would it be discriminated? Why would you think your TV is special (to the network?) it shouldn't. What are u doing differently to the TV as versus your other working devices?

Our laptops, Xbox and nooks connect without issue. The TV is the only device with problems and this is the second in two weeks. The first tech we worked with had us try everything already suggested here and finally said it must be a fault in the TV and this is the replacement and it is the same thing happening with this one. Not logical maybe, but it is happening as I described

jsmithepa, it may be illogical but it is true. I don't why it discriminates but the TV will not connect to the Internet.
Many others are having the same problem. I wanted to add Netflix but because of the connection problem, I can't.

I was told today by another tech that the Samsung TV needs a part that connects it to the internet. It is a faulty TV but I am out of warranty and left paying for a part and labor. Is it worth it....I wonder. It will cost me $60 part and labor is $120.
Costco will not take it back because it is 2.5 years new.

here is a list of troubleshootings that may work , first open the menu of the TV , then select support-self diagnosis- Reset, the TV would prompt you to enter the pin code , wich is "0000" unless you have already changed it , then the TV would turn off and then back on.

while completing the initial setup ,when you are picking up your wireless connection if does not connect, select the option that says "IP Settings"" then select DSN settings and change it from "obtain automatically'' to ''Enter Manually'' and then enter this DSN server bellow (4.2.2.1) it should work after that , then access the smart hub and waiit for about 30 seconds to see if there's a new software update for the smart hub, that should solve the problem .

Regards.

I found the solution for my Samsung tv

1. Turn off TV
2. Un plug TV
3. Count to 10
4. Plug TV back in.

Seems to do the trick for my TV not finding any WIFI connections and I am up and running as I type.

Seriously though, log in to your Comcast router 10.0.0.1

User name: admin
Password: password.

change the security type to WPA 2 and AES ONLY! No TKIP/AES.

Go into your TV network settings. Change IP address to 10.0.0.25 or above.
Change your DNS to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4. Both google servers.

Respectfully, your instructions are completely off. The settings should be WPA/WPA2 WITH TKIP. Auto detect should be turned off. The IP ADDRESS/DNS should be left alone. I have had the same issues with both brand's...What I posted fixes it completely. NO AES!
