Here are some troubleshooting steps or test to identify the issue with your laptop.
- Start by removing the battery off your laptop and boot it up with just its AC adapter connected then observe if it will stay on or not.
- If it does stay on with just the AC adapter that means the battery has failed already.
- But if it doesn't stay on with just the AC adapter it could be an overheating issue.
- Start by cleaning the inside of your laptop, remove all the dust off the fans and apply new thermal paste on both the CPU and GPU.
- If it doesn't work do also try a different AC adapter that has the same voltage and see if it will stay on or not.
- If it does work with a different AC adapter that means the AC adapter is the one which is faulty not the battery.
- If it doesn't stay on with a different AC adapter that means the motherboard is the problem
