can one of the lasers, either the DVD or the blu ray go out and the other work fine?

I have a Samsung Home theater system Ht-BD1250T/xaa. It will play blu ray disks fine but now (only started last couple of days) will not play any DVD's. I tried at least 4 different DVD's I own that played fine before but now get the error message as disk is unplayable.

Solution
probably not cheaply. IF you were "technically inclined", you might be able to take the cover off (or equivalent) and watch the unit in operation to see how the drive is functioning to see if everything is operating smoothly and see any obvious issues (ie. sticky guides, dirt, etc). But unless the unit is very expensive, most repair center charges would probably quickly out weigh the cost of a replacement unit. :-(

Budwich--I did try several cd's and all will play. I also ran a cleaning disk at least two times. Afterwards I tried a couple more of my DVD's I know worked before and they would not work. Do you have any more ideas? Would be much appreciated. Thanks

Can this be repairable? If not, then I would guess it is a new player, right?
